This doesn't go against his general point, but um... "Frozen", "Brave", "Maleficent", the first "Mulan", probably missing some, haven't kept that much up to date on Disney.
Oh right, while that was a "thank god" derivative, I actually forgot about Disney Hercules. An argument might actually be made that counts as well with Meg's first failed romance, and Hercules choosing instead of being fated (which was literally defied there), but I haven't seen it in awhile, might be stretching it a bit.
