Thank you so much Massimo! Looking forward to reading it as I'm finding Hadot's "The Inner Citadel" quite dense.

An excellent booklet on Stoicism and Epicureanism. It’s a brief yet comprehensive introduction to both philosophies.

Massimo, would it be reasonable to request your review sof Lawerence Becker's "A New Stoicism" and Margaret Graver's work on Stoicism and emotions?

Jason, it's certainly reasonable. I have published multi-part essays on both books at my old blog, How to Be a Stoic. Here are the links:

A New Stoicism (10 parts): https://howtobeastoic.wordpress.com/tag/a-new-stoicism/

Stoicism and Emotion (9 parts): https://howtobeastoic.wordpress.com/tag/stoicism-and-emotion/

Thanks for the links! I was at first disappointed that I'd brought Becker and not Hadot along for my three month visit to Canada, but now I can cobble together a PDF to guide me through A New Stoicism. I've already started assembling it in Pages. It's not all that difficult and I'd encourage others to give it a try.

Yes, I know those are out there, I was thinking it would be nice to have them bundled in a nice formatted PDF. Of course, this is not up to me, so I will not stake my happiness on it, but rather consider it a preferred indifference request! :) Thank you for your good work here and your willingness to help us learn how to be practice Stoicism - much appreciated!

Jason, ah, sorry, I misunderstood your request. I’ll certainly take it under consideration! It actually takes a fair amount of work to produce these booklets, between editing and formatting. But you are right that those two collections would likely be very useful to people.
